I Am Not a Doll Expert

This page may contain referral links.  See my Disclosure Page.

This is my doll website.  Everything is written by me or approved by me.  I write about dolls, share tips on identifying and valuing your dolls and sometimes review a new doll I have purchased. It’s my own opinion and no one else’s unless I say so.

Photos you see are taken by me, are in the public domain or are stock photos belonging to the doll owners, doll companies or doll artist.  Please do not copy photos without permission or attribution.  Never remove a watermark.  Respect others.

I sometimes share referral or affiliate links.  I only recommend products I believe in.  I do share online product searches for informational purposes or to help you find a doll or identify a doll.  If it’s a referral link, you will see a disclosure at the top of the page or the post. (this is required by law). I may receive a small commission if you follow the link and make a purchase.  It helps pay for this website and I thank you for your support.

I say I am not an expert, because I’m not.  I know a lot about dolls because I have been interested in them most of my life.  I sold my first doll clothes to neighborhood friends when I was about ten years old.  When it comes to dolls, there is much to learn.  Even the known “facts” about a doll can change as new information is revealed.  If you see misinformation on this site, it is unintentional and I always appreciate being enlightened.

Just a few things about me:

  • I live in Ft Myers, Florida.  My kids and grandkids live somewhere else. This makes me sad and homesick for Indiana at times.

  • My husband and I met at age 15 and married at age 18.  We will soon be married fifty years!

  • I never graduated from college, but I’ve taken classes for my own enjoyment or for my job. I believe in being a lifetime learner.

  • I’ve sold dolls and doll clothes in consignment shops, doll shows and craft shows.   In 1999, I started selling online.

  • I enjoy sewing, reading, and dolls.

Last year, I retired.  It wasn’t long before I realized that getting up every day with no real plan of action is not for me, so here I am getting back into sewing for dolls and learning more about doll collecting.
